I think people will respond to pricing. The download series was way overpriced and on the other hand they underestimated demand for the Fillmore 69 set. And they could've lowered the price and sold a TON more, thus seeding the market for future releases. Many people are now back into GD but could be turned off easily; as you guys said they need to release the best shows. I don't think packaging is desired as much as completeness and/or exact information.

"This bonus CD has been mastered from the original master reel-to-reel tapes in HDCD, and will not be made available anywhere else at any cost."

--except maybe free when some enterprizing head decides to torrent same on a pirate site ala Dick's Picks.

While I wouldn't mock a Winterland '73 set as a Christmas gift from Aunt Ginny, I certainly won't cough up the $69 bucks myself to purchase it.I have too much AWESOME lossless from 73 that I can't imagine buying any just because it's been 'cleaned up'.

If Rhino can find some material that has never been liberated from the vault in any form then they'll find a market.

This is probably a bit arrogant, ignorant, and whatever, but..

I want DVD footage. Gans said there is like... 100 tapes, and 25-30 that are releasable based on footage quality, sound quality, etc..

To me, whatever they are releasing sounds great and all.. but I will forever be preoccupied with what is on the archive already. I want DVD footage. I have everything so far..

I want Sunshine Daydream :)...

and some nice vintage footage man. Its like.. they released GD movie, and closing of winterland.. which are the only 70's footage on commercial DVD.. then it goes 1980 with Dead ahead... and then 1987, 1989, 1990 and higher :<

as Walter from The Big Lebowski would say,

"Am I wrong?"
